Teen trio arrested after Hanoi burglary |

Three teenagers have been arrested following a reported theft of a car from outside a property on Malvern Road in Scunthorpe just before 3am this morning (Thursday, 14 May 2026). It is reported three people gained entry to the property before stealing car keys and making off in a silver BMW. Officers from our Roads Policing Unit were swiftly deployed, and the BMW was spotted travelling on Scotter Road at around 3.50am where a short pursuit ensued after the driver failed to stop. The vehicle was brought to a stop on West Common Lane, where it is alleged the three occupants fled on foot before they were detained with assistance from PD Frisco of our Dog Section. A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and failing to stop. A further 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and failing to stop. They remain in police custody at this time. A third 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary and going equipped for burglary and has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
